Commis Chef - Auckland
We are look for a Commis Chef at our popular beachside Bistro
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under supervisionEnsure all ingredients are fresh, labeled, and stored correctly
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
Follow food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
Assist with stock rotation and inventory management
Learn and adhere to recipes and presentation standards
Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
Perform other duties as assigned by senior kitchen staff
Requirements: Culinary school diploma or relevant kitchen experience (preferred)
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniquesStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
Flexibility to work shifts which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
