Cellar Door is a busy, award-winning wine bar in the historic Christchurch Arts Centre.
We aim to provide an outstanding wine experience, featuring wine tasting flights alongside a large selection of fine local and international wine, craft beer, spirits, and an all-day menu of elegant, classical European-influenced dishes to match our ever-changing selection of wines.We have an all-day product - open 12pm-10:30pm 7 days, our busy times are nights and weekends.
Our menu is constantly developing utilising what's seasonally available, and we foster a creative environment in which all members of the team feel comfortable in providing their input and ideas.
We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our team. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to step into a leadership position at an established 'one hat' venue with a focus on quality, with opportunities for training and advancement.
The successful applicant will be an excellent chef with proven experience developing wine-friendly French, Spanish and Italian cuisine with seasonal local produce, and providing supportive leadership to a team producing a consistent high quality customer experience in a busy environment on a daily basis.
