Some areas report among the highest life expectancy in the country, while others face persistent socioeconomic and health challenges.These include high rate of potentially preventable conditions, unmet health needs, and stark differences in service access.About the Role The Executive Assistant to the Regional People and Culture Officer Northern Region is responsible for delivering timely, high-quality support, often handling highly confidential and sensitive matters.
The Regional People & Culture Officer holds a third-tier position within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, reporting directly to the Executive Regional Director Northern and indirectly to the Executive National Director People & Culture, Health & Safety.Leading the People and Culture function in the Northern region, the Regional People & Culture Officer relies on this role to facilitate interactions with the Executive Regional Director, Group Director of Operations, Northern Region, National P&C Senior Leadership Teams, Directors of HR Operations, and the broader Northern Region P&C team.
In addition, this role assists key governance committees and forums by handling agendas, minutes and documentation, while also supporting the regional P&C team as needed.About you You bring proven experience supporting a senior leader (Tier 3 or equivalent) within a large and complex organisation.Comfortable operating at pace, you understand the importance of discretion, judgement and professionalism when working at senior management level.Highly organised and proactive, you are skilled in complex calendar management, coordinating meetings across multiple stakeholders, and ensuring leaders and stakeholders are fully briefed and prepared.
Juggling competing priorities comes naturally, and you anticipate needs before they arise.
