We're a friendly bar, courtyard and kitchen located in the heart of Cuba Street. Serving tap beers, epic little wines, cocktails and always-on dining, we're here to celebrate the simple pleasures of food, drink and friends with our community.

Whether it's post-work drinks, late night sessions or Sunday brunch, come park up in the courtyard, or grab a nook inside.

Our menu places focus on quality ingredients and honest food, done well - and just like us, it rolls from late morning until late.

Our front door's open Tuesday to Sunday.

We are looking for a passionate individual to help us move it forward. You will work closely with the two owners, who are hospitality enthusiasts striving to make something really special and bring Wellington something new and exciting.

We want to create an establishment where Wellingtonians are proud to bring their friends and family, show off their city, and make Wellington the coolest little capital again.

The Role

Looking for a head chef or talented senior sous chef that is ready to take the next step. This role would suit a person that has experience working in respected restaurants and is excited to present their own interpretation of modern New Zealand cuisine in a relaxed environment.

Your role will be to lead the team in delivering food of exceptional quality and management of all food labour and cost of goods.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with the kitchen team in creating and executing menus.

Hands on with day to day operations
Motivating and developing the kitchen team.
Preparing food, to a very high standard.
Managing Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
Prep and service for large group bookings and events.
Managing inventory, ensuring proper stock levels, and coordinating with suppliers for timely deliveries.

Maintaining all key KPIs

About You

Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous ready for the challenge.

Experience in well-regarded restaurants preferred
A positive can-do attitude.
A keen eye for detail.
A willingness to train and develop.
A passion for high quality food.
Strong knife skills.
Cool under pressure.
