The Executive Assistant and Team Coordinator is a pivotal role within the team with responsibilities split between fulfilling the Executive Assistant role to the Head of Business Services and providing team coordination support for the wider directorate.
You will be responsible for managing the Head of Business Services inbox, calendar, meetings, travel/accommodation bookings, onboarding/offboarding staff and other admin related tasks as requested by the Head of Business Services. You will also be expected to efficiently manage the National Public Health Service inbox, including responding to queries, reviewing and coordinating papers for the National Director's sign out.
You will be expected to work at pace, manage multiple requests, high volumes of emails, have strong attention to detail and be well organised.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, works towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.

To be successful you must be able to work at a fast-pace, juggle changing priorities, and be highly organised, with good processes in place.Extensive experience as an Executive Assistant (5+ years) providing support to a senior executiveExtensive experience in team coordination role (5+ years)Strong coordination, organisation and admin skillsStrong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and stylesExtensive experience managing inbox, calendar and meetings for busy senior leadersVery strong attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships and relate to a wide range of peopleWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
