Front of House Supervisor / Duty Manager
Joe’s Garage New Plymouth is looking for an experienced Front of House Supervisor/Duty Manager. This is a full-time role (minimum 30 hours per week) with opportunities to pick up extra shifts. We’re open 7 days and nights, so you’ll work a mix of rostered day, night, and weekend shifts.
*What we’re looking for:*
Minimum one year supervisory experience in hospitality.
Current DM certificate is a bonus, but not essential – we can train you and cover the fees to get your manager certificate.
Barista and bar experience preferred, but we can train the right person.
Flexible availability (weekdays, nights, weekends).
Positive, mature outlook; calm under pressure and leads by example.
Exceptional people skills; honest, reliable, and team-focused.
Cash handling experience and relevant qualifications.
Strong understanding of food safety standards.
Experience in a busy venue and capable of leading a small team (4–5 members).
Hardworking and able to knuckle down to get the work done.
