You'll be part of a forward-thinking team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We are currently seeking a DevOps Enablement Engineer, this role and is part of the core platform engineering team.
The role provides the bridge between platform engineering and development teams. Your primary focus will be to help our developers adopt and integrate OpenShift and container-based workflows. As a DevOps Enablement Engineer, you will advocate for developer experience and provide hands-on support for pipeline delivery.
You will collaborate on platform improvements based on real world feedback with the goal of delivering more secure and reliable releases and delivering this value faster to the business. Key Accountabilities: Help developers integrate OpenShift and container-based workflows.
Create onboarding guides, reusable CI/CD templates, and enablement resources and work with developers on adoption. Advocate for developer experience and provide hands-on support. Collaborate on platform improvements based on real-world feedback.
Stay up to date with new and upcoming platforms features and capabilities and ensure the development community is able to take advantage of new offerings. You will provide third level technical support for the container platform and be a direct conduit for development issues.

To be successful in this role you will require the following: Strong communication and collaboration skills—you enjoy helping others succeed. Good technical knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerization. Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and common infrastructure-as-code tools.
A mindset focused on automation, scalability, and developer empowerment. Experience in building continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Python. Knowledge of networking, security protocols and Linux-based administration.
Familiarity with observability tools and agile delivery practices. Developer advocacy or enablement experience. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Whakaritenga motuhake | Special Requirements This role is based at RNZPC Porirua. This role requires an on-call element, which may mean working outside of regular business hours. This is on a rostered basis in conjunction with the wider support team. Utu ā-tau | Salary This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $102,808 and $108,894 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
