New Zealand Venue Co is on the hunt for passionate Sous Chefs to join our growing kitchen teams at two standout venues – the newly opened Springs Tavern in Christchurch, and the iconic Saint Alice overlooking Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour.
As Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations, leading the team in service, and bringing your creativity to menu execution. Whether you’re driving consistency at a bustling new pub or helping deliver exceptional seafood-focused plates at one of Auckland’s most reputable waterfront venues, this is your chance to step up in a dynamic, supportive environment.
What we’re looking for:- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, or a strong CDP ready for the next step
- Ability to lead by example and motivate the team during service
- Strong food knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
- Reliability, passion, and a positive approach to problem-solving
