Finance Administrator

Kuranui College is seeking a meticulous, organised, and financially-skilled Finance Administrator to support the financial wellbeing of the school.

Remuneration - 30 hours per week, 52 Weeks per year, Grade 5, Support Staff in School’s Collective Agreement

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial administration, including managing the school's accounts payable and receivable, handling bank transactions, and providing up-to-date financial data for accurate reporting to management and the Board.

Key Accountabilities:

Accounts Payable & Banking: Manage daily bank transactions, reconciliations and coding. Oversee the entire Accounts Payable process.

Accounts Receivable: Manage all incoming receipts, management of student charging, statements and reconciliations. All other invoices including International students and Grants.

Financial Reporting & Budgets: Provide timely support for monthly reporting. Attend queries from budget holders.

Financial Systems: Providing reports from our financial systems, to support day to day requirements and decision making. Correctly code all income and expenditure.

Other Support: Support fundraising activities (banking, costing, grant support) and provide backup cover to the Manaakitanga team, including first aid response and reception duties when required.

We are looking for a candidate who has: Proven experience in financial administration, including accounts payable and receivable.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in financial coding and reconciliation.
Experience using a Student Management System (like KAMAR) and financial accounting software (like Xero).
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to multiple deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, suppliers, and families.
A commitment to supporting the college's overall well-being and operational needs, including the ability to provide Manaakitanga (Front of House/First Aid) backup.
