Location: Tauranga, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key responsibilities.
Ensure Kitchen operation is smooth by overlooking food preparation, cooking, and presentation meet the standards.
Manage and motivate kitchen team to deliver outstanding dishes, ensuring all food is cooked to the highest standards.
Work closely with restaurant manager for menu planning, any changes in food and pricing the menu according to market price.
Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to minimize waste and reduce costs.
Ensure the kitchen adheres to food safety regulations, cleanliness, and hygiene standards at all times.
Control food costs and labor costs through food wastage control and duty roster plan.
Experience in desserts would be an advantage.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Passion for creating new food according to seasons availability to suits guest needs.
Deal with guest for his any special preference on food or any concern arises regarding food and solve it in co-ordination with restaurant manager.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and required to be on shift during busy schedule while maintaining positive attitude.

RAWAT FOOD & Beverage hiring for chef for their restaurant in Tauranga. Position is fulltime, and roster based. We offer a minimum of 30 hours per week, with a maximum of up to 45 hours.Key responsibilities.

What We're Looking For: Overall, 3 years of experience
Must have good knowledge and experience in Indian Tandoor cooking and Indian cuisine.Experience in desserts would be an advantage.
