Are you a musician that loves working with young people? We are looking for passionate musicians to join our thriving & growing music academy ready to start immediately!
We are the biggest music academy in the Manawatu, now teaching more than 1,300 students in more than 35 schools! And we're looking to expand our ever growing team once again. Our mission is to make exciting music lessons accessible to as many young people as possible.We have new schools knocking on our door right now, will you be the next musician to join our winning team?
We are looking for talented musicians to join our Schools Programme team in the new year. We are specifically after drummers, guitarists, or pianists. The successful applicant would ideally be proficient in multiple of these instruments, or be willing to up-skill with teaching these instruments.
Applicants must also be:
- Able to read music confidently
- Proactive with good initiative
- Punctual
- Willing to learn
- Confident with strangers
The primary role involves giving group tuition in primary schools during the school term, but the job description does not stop there. You will be involved in a growing team working towards changing the way music tuition is taught in the city.
We also run our city's only music focused Holiday Program! All of our staff help organise and run this epic program in each of the school holidays across the year. So bring your creative hats and help us take what we offer to the next level!
Applicants for this position must have:- a NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
- a NZ restricted or full driver license (or be prepared to convert to one of these. Preferably able to drive manual as well)
- A clean drivers license
- Access to their own vehicle
Roles are available for 2 - 5 days per week and have the option of building up to more days as you're ready. Perfect for the creative musician that still wants to set aside a day or 2 for their own music and creative projects, or for the student who wants to have a part time job to work around their studies.
