Working every Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 2.45 pm to 11.15 pm
We are looking for an empathetic, passionate support worker to join a small team committed to providing genuine care, warmth, and kindness to the people who live and work in the home.
In this role, you will help create and maintain a safe home environment where a young man can develop new skills, grow his independence, and build meaningful friendships and community connections. You will a trusted support worker, within a team, who encourages him, advocates for him, and helps him engage with his community.

To be the right fit for this team you bring:
- Experience working with intellectual disabilities and complex behaviours
- High emotional resilience with the ability to work well under pressure and in unpredictable situations, staying patient and calm.
- Fun, laughter, creativity and encourage community engagement, doing activities that the young man enjoys such as reading, river walks and op-shopping.
- The ability to understand and connect with people who have communication challenges
- Professionalism, honesty and be a reliable team player with a flexible approach
- Comfortable with personal care tasks such as toileting and hygiene support, as well as being comfortable with physical proximity
- Energy, enthusiasm and enjoy being part of a team
- Full NZ Driver Licence as part of your role will be driving
- A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or commitment to working towards a qualification funded by MASH
