Agriculture Machinery Operators 2026/2027
We specialise in silage harvesting, baling and agricultural support services. We are looking for motivated people who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role:The successful applicants will operate and maintain agricultural machinery involved in grass harvesting and cultivation and planting operations. The role includes working long hours during busy seasonal periods (Oct – March) and requires someone who is safety-conscious, mechanically minded, and capable of working both independently and positively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Confidently operate and maintain Agriculture Machinery:
- Diagnose and report mechanical issues promptly
- Carry out daily machine checks and repairs as required
- Assist with all operations involved with a positive attitude
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain accurate job and maintenance records
- Work flexible hours including weekends during peak season
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating heavy agricultural machinery
- Good mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work long hours in seasonal conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Full driver licence required
- Heavy Traffic licence advantageous
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to pass random drug testing
- Full-time & Seasonal roles available
- Guaranteed minimum of 35 hours per week
- Hourly rate: NZD $28– $35 depending on level of experience
