The Sales Manager reports to the Upper North Island Regional Manager but will work with a high degree of autonomy and ownership with exposure to and work closely with key stakeholders at all levels across the Auckland portfolio and would therefore suit somebody with the assurance and judgement to operate at senior levels when required.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Providing strong leadership and coaching.
  • The delivery of the Auckland Hygiene sales and customer retention targets.
  • Development and performance of all sales and account management activities in the region.
  • Managing and motivating the sales team.
  • Developing a strategic sales plan critical to the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in the region.
  • Analysisng data to maximise market penetration.

Success will be measured through management of daily sales activities, ensuring proactive planned customer call cycles are executed, strategic new business development plans are in place and ongoing SWOT analysis of the region.

In order to be successful you will have the skills, experience and ability to:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that will enable delivery of the regional Netgain budget.
  • Work in conjunction with the Regional Manager and the wider regional leadership team.
  • Target and monitor market trends and competitor activities.
  • Ensure we are competitive in the marketplace.
  • Exceed our clients' expectations on quality and service versus cost.

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • Must have proven ability to lead, develop and motivate a sales team, along with management, operations and business development skills.
  • A proven commercial acumen delivering sales results is a requirement.
