ELECTRICIAN / PANEL WIREMAN – FULL TIME
Are you a driven, detail-focused Electrician with a few years of experience under your belt?JayCee Electrix is looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician/Panel Wireman to join our growing Whangarei-based team in a permanent full-time role. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and is ready to grow their expertise especially in switchboard manufacturing and electrical design.
ABOUT THE ROLEYou’ll be part of a small, high-performing team, working across a variety of electrical tasks, including:
- Switchboard manufacturing and panel building
- Commercial and industrial electrical services
- Residential and field service work
Your days will be diverse balancing hands-on work while assisting the supervisor by keeping an eye on our current apprentices. There is also the opportunity to learn and develop skills in electrical design and CAD work, supported through mentorship and training.
ABOUT YOUWe’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows strong initiative, and brings a positive, professional attitude to the team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:- A minimum of 3–4 years post-qualification experience
- Current NZ Electrical Registration and Practising Licence
- A relevant electrical qualification (e.g., National Certificate in Electrical Engineering Level 4 or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of concept designs and electrical drawings
- Good working knowledge of NZ standards, regulations, and codes of practice
- A “can-do” attitude, excellent attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- A full Class 1 NZ driver licence (manual preferred)
- NZ citizenship, residency, or an existing valid NZ work visa
- Preference will be given to applicants with switchboard manufacturing experience
