We are currently looking for an experienced Pastry Chef/Baker who can Work in & with a fast paced, fun loving, strong and successful Team at Henderson. We are looking for someone who has strong NZ Cafe/Restaurant Kitchen/Baking experience. We are open 7 days a week from 6am - 4pm weekdays and 7am - 4pm weekends.

We currently have two roles available: One for a Pastry Chef/Baker role available in Henderson store and

the other one for a FOH superstar at our Manukau Store.

We are looking for someone with a ‘Can Do’ & ‘Will Do’ attitude and hands on Experience who can hit the ground running. This job is a full on role requiring a dynamic personality to deal with whatever day-to-day routine throws at you.

As a Pastry Chef/Baker: we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to hit the ground running with our Kitchen team. You will be working in a fast paced dynamic environment working in the Bakery. This role has a minimum of 30 hours per week. We are looking for the following attributes from the new Pastry Chef/Baker: Proven experience as Pastry Chef/Baker (min 2-3 years).

Completing all prep work for cooking & weighing the wet and dry ingredients to using the measurement/Cutting/Moulding/Mixing and shaping dough and pastry items
Maintaining quality control
Cooking to the controlled temperature to ensure product appearance is retained
Ensuring the fermenting of breads, pastry, loading/unloading, de-panning, Cooking etc.

Remuneration will be comparable to the Market.

As a FOH Superstar: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has a great sense of customer service with a smile. The role will include operating till, serving and clearing tables, serving cakes, pastries and cabinet food to customers.

Making exceptional coffee will complement the role.

You will need to be a self starter and show initiative in making sure cafe customers are happy and operations are running efficiently. Must have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in hospitality.
