Larder Chef
Copthorne Solway Park is looking for a Larder Chef
For this position you will need experience in a similar role, Be able to keep calm under pressure, be able to work well to our par levels for prep, follow direction provided by the Executive Chef, prepare specific meal components at your station, collaborating with the rest of the culinary team to ensure high-quality food and service with the ability to keep your work area clean and hygienic.
This position will suit a tidy chef with a passion for food, a strong work ethic, high standards, and love for the hospitality industry.
This role will be primarily be working on our Larder section, A good background in cooking proteins, and ability to focus during service is key.
Daily tasks include but not limited to; • Standard opening and closing procedures- Preparation for the night ahead
- Cooking orders
- Ensuring a smooth service and customer satisfaction
- Running a section in the kitchen
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen
- Assisting in producing new menu offerings and pricing, keeping things fresh, innovate and seasonal
- Stock ordering and control
- Adhering to all legal requirements of the business
- Being able to control dockets to ensure a smooth service
For this role we require a minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.
Suitable applicants will already have the ability to work in new Zealand. This roles include night and weekend work, please do not apply if you can't commit to that.
As with all hospitality, this role will need availability days / Evening, and weekends
