House of Good Fortune is a cranking little café and coffee roastery in Petone. We do a wide range of cabinet food and delicious Good Fortune Coffee. We are a small experienced team who take hospitality seriously and love creating a fun, welcoming, relaxed place for our regulars and mates to enjoy.
We are open week days only, our opening hours are 7am till 3 pm .
We need a new CHEF, Monday to Friday. 5am till 3pm ish. The types of items you will be making daily are Fresh Pies and Sausage rolls, salads, vegan and gluten free options and short order cooking for breakfast and lunch as well as working as part of the team with the cafe set up, dishes and clean up.This is a wide ranging role and needs someone who has a good few years experience in cafe kitchens and a good knowledge of meat cooking techniques as well as vegan and vegetarian nutrition knowledge. As this is short order and cabinet food prep we are looking for someone who can juggle and hustle during service.
The successful applicant will need to be able to have their own transport for morning starts, and have experience in fast paced kitchens and section organization, planning and ordering.We are looking for someone to work their magic about 40-50 hours a week.
