This role actively collaborates and engages with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless support. As a pivotal position, it ensures the Chief of Tikanga and their direct reports are well supported in their day‑to‑day activities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide executive, business, administrative and secretarial supportDeliver high‑level inbox and diary management, resolving conflicts and prioritising workflowCoordinate closely with other executive business support roles to enable effective leadership team supportEnsure the efficient management of activities and operations across the Tikanga teamCoordinate all administrative and business support functionsAbout the Team/ServiceAs the Hauora Māori Service of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) our core role is to ensure New Zealanders have better and more timely access to health care.

About youAs an experienced Executive Assistant, you bring exceptional organisational skills, initiative, and a high level of discretion. You apply critical thinking and sound judgment in fast-paced environments. You are an effective communicator with an understanding of Te Ao Māori, ensuring your approach reflects kaupapa Māori values and aligns with the organisation's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

You will have:Proven experience as an Executive Assistant role supporting senior leaders, with at least 5 years in a similar role within a large organisationSkilled in scheduling and business support, with strong team collaborationHighly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointExperience in the health sector and knowledge of Hauora Māori services and providers across the motu is advantageousWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
