We are committed to improving equity of health outcomes and experience for our communities.About the RoleAs a member of the Directorate Leadership Team, you will contribute to overall leadership, direction and management of the Division, particularly in clinical, risk and governance, research and development, and service standards and improvement matters.

You will lead the development and review the divisional strategy to improve the overall performance of the division in conjunction with the Group Director of Operations.

You will provide clinical leadership and assurance of clinical safety, in the areas of professional and clinical governance, quality improvement and innovation, policy and risk management and research and learning.This position is responsible for a diverse range of services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults through inpatient, outpatient, home and community settings both locally and regionally.About the Team/Service/ LocationOur services are provided via passionate and highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams which include psychiatrists, mental health nurses, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, lived experience specialists and a skilled support and administrative workforce.

For more information on living and working in Counties Manukau click here.About youOur successful candidate will be an actively practicing medical professional with a current APC, who is looking to take on Senior Management responsibility.
You will have a track record of delivering effective healthcare services as a Clinician in a relevant subspecialty field and have worked in large multifaceted hospitals.
Experience and strong evidence of an ability to develop a culture of innovation, performance and transparency focussed on working in the frontline to advocate for patients and frontline staff is essential.
Experience of working effectively in a clinical-managerial partnership for the benefit of patients, staff and the service is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible and work in partnership with the General Manager for Mental Health and Addiction for all aspects of service and delivery, leading and developing staff within the directorate to continue to provide high quality clinical services.

You will have a system-wide view and an ability to manage a complex array of key stakeholder relationships, working collaboratively to maintain and encourage collegiate relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and community resources.Candidates who can demonstrate effective and sustainable leadership and services management across multiple disciplines in the New Zealand publicly funded healthcare system will be preferred.
