Permanent full-time position 30 -40 hours per week.
Location: Otahuhu Auckland
Number of Positions: 2
Successful candidates should have either relevant NZ Register Diploma qualification OR have minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Must be able to work under pressure; be able to work in weekends, shifting schedule and late-night shifts; be able to maintain and adhere to food, safety, and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Plan, develop and review the menus from time to time; Advise variation of food preparation cost on menu items; Control stock and order food supplies when necessary; Monitor food dishes quality at all stages of food preparation and presentation process; Communicate with director, other chefs and kitchen staffs in relation to any quality issue; Train other kitchen staffs by demonstrating techniques and advising on preparation of food menu
Prepare ingredients, cook dishes, and arrange food on serving plates and containers; Implement hygiene and safety regulations and explain them to other kitchen and waiting staffsSupervise and train other kitchen staff when required; Ensure that food and ingredients are properly stored and preserved; Responsible for the tidiness and cleanliness of the equipment and environments in the kitchen and make sure that correct procedures and guidelines are followed.
