Thai Chef
We are an established restaurant serving Thai Cuisine. We are looking for a passionate and qualified chef to join our growing team.
Applicants must have formal training in Thai cuisine and at least 3 years experience as a chef preparing Thai Cuisine in a commercial kitchen environment.
A National Skill Assessment Certificate - Thai Cook Level 1 is also required.
You must be prepared to meet our operating and quality control standards.
You will have a positive attitude and take personal responsibility for your own work ethic. You will take pride in the product that you are responsible for creating and your determination to delight your customers will shine through.
As a chef in our restaurant your duties will include.- Preparing Thai dishes to quality standards.
- Professional use of woks, grills, fryers and other appropriate cooking equipment.
- Ingredient preparation and management to minimise wastage.
- Portion control to ensure quality and maintain product profitability.
- Continual attention to detail to ensure a clean and hygienic working environment.
- Understand and adhere to all appropriate food control standards.
- Receiving ingredients and quality checking receipts comply with all food safety guidelines.
- Ensuring unused ingredients are appropriately packaged and stored to maintain shelflife.
- Understand and prepare food to special dietary requirements.
- Daily/weekly/monthly kitchen cleandown tasks
- Planning and assisting the owner with special menus, ingredient requirements and pricing
You will be responsible for contributing to the ongoing development of our restaurant products and customer experience, as well as ensuring that all daily activities are met and our stock is managed effectively.
You will be self motivated and be able to communicate effectively with your team in order to ensure team goals are met.
This is a full time roll (minimum 30 hours per week) and will require the successful applicant to work split shifts on weekend and weekdays and will be paid at an hourly rate of 29.00 per hour.
