Peach's Hot Chicken began as a food truck and has quickly gained a cult following. We sell traditional Nashville Hot Chicken and sides. All our food is cooked fresh to order and with heaps of love and care. We only serve GREAT food!

We are seeking 2 experienced candidates to join the Peach family!

Experienced Line Cooks begin at the heart of the business. We realize the most important role in our business is frying the chicken. It is the very core and requires lot of love and care!!! Candidates starting here understand that executing this station at a high standard is paramount to the success and satisfaction of our customers.
You will learn other fundamentals like managing your station, rotating stock, and food safety and hygiene. Good hygiene practices are necessary and expected for this role. Ideal candidates have a strong sense of urgency and work well under pressure while remaining very organized and clean!

Once the fry station is mastered we will train on the other stations around the kitchen. That could be prep, spice, sides, or desserts! We are only considering full time experienced applicants for this role.

The ideal Pastry Chef will focus on executing our existing desserts, while also developing and refining new American inspired desserts. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves traditional American Desserts to shine. American desserts are under represented here in Auckland and it is our mission to change that!
Think sweet pies, cakes, sheet cakes, cookies, buckles, cobblers, donuts, icebox, cheesecakes, puddings, and more.... This role is intended to be a production and prep role but the pastry chef will still be expected to do service from time to time and also train station partners on plate up for their desserts.
The pastry chef will also be expected to contribute to our pre-shift by communicating and explaining dishes to FoH team members and give them the tools the need to sell new desserts. The pastry chef is expected to order stock and deal with specialty suppliers when needed.

The pastry chef will need to be ok with early mornings to take full advantage of the kitchen and its amenities before the other chefs arrive. We will consider part time and full time experienced applicants for this role.

Successful candidates will need to be efficient at managing their section. It is important to actively contribute to our positive, team-focused, work atmosphere. The last 8 years of business have been successful because of the environment the team creates not only for the customers, but for their workplace.

Skills and experience

We are looking for a candidate who:
  • Has a minimum of two years experience as a cook in a busy kitchen.
  • Can work and behave professionally in a kitchen environment.
  • Has a sense of urgency.
  • Has the ability to work with direction but also has initiative to continue onto the next task without being prompted to do so.
  • Has good communication skills and the ability to work as a part of a team.
  • Genuinely loves to cook and serve guests
