Chartered Accountant

Are you a qualified Chartered Accountant with a passion for client service, financial accuracy, and strategic insight? Join our dynamic team at Southey Sayer Limited, where your expertise will directly impact the success of our clients and our firm.

You will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, overseeing financial reporting, and supporting business growth. You’ll work closely with Directors and team members to deliver high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services.

There is a potential ownership possibility for the right person in the future.

• Provide accounting, tax, and advisory services to our diverse range of clients
• Prepare and review management, financial statements and budgets tailored to our clients
• Offer strategic insights on farm management, succession planning, and agribusiness
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Complete income tax, GST, and other compliance returns
• Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and tax planning
• Supervise and review work of junior team members
• Draft correspondence and special reports
• Use a range of accounting software effectively
• Maintain secure and accurate records and documentation
• Participate in internal and external training sessions

• CA Qualification preferred
• Experience in accounting, tax compliance, and client management
• Strong understanding of rural accounting practices and seasonal cash flows
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, client-focused approach
• Strong technical skills in accounting software and MS Office
• Proactive attitude with attention to detail and initiative
• Team player with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
