Head Chef

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team at Mr Beast Burger NZ Limited in Freemans Bay, Auckland. As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading and managing our kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration and benefits.
What you'll be doing:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, managing a team of skilled chefs and cooks
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, with a focus on quality, freshness and presentation
- Implement and maintain strict food safety and hygiene protocols
- Manage food inventory, ordering and cost control to maximise efficiency and profitability
- Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff
- Work closely with the management team to align kitchen operations with the overall business strategy
What we're looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role, preferably within the hospitality or restaurant industry
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques & cost control
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Proficient in using kitchen equipment and technology, with a good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Passion for creating innovative and delicious burger dishes, with a keen understanding of flavour profiles and food trends
