3D Asset Artist

This is a highly technical role at its heart, but the right person will also be able to help build this function for the organisation longer-term.

• Creating static 3D worlds
• Animation of these worlds
• 3D asset creation
• Readiness of simulations to ensure they stand up under scientific scrutiny
• USD pipeline ownership
• Ad-hoc duties

• Familiarity/understanding of working in a start-up/small business required.
• Willingness to working a a majority hand-on technical role required.
• Experience in a similar role required. Ideally, you would have experience of both creation and animation of assets.
• Outcome-driven mindset required.
• The ability to adapt and pick up new technologies is required - the business is at a stage where it may adapt new technology. Experience using USD technology and NVIDIA Omniverse is highly advantageous.
• Experience working across different time zones advantageous - this person will mostly work regular New Zealand hours, but working with remote teams in different time zones may also be required.
• Experience working directly with clients highly advantageous.
• Experience building a team in this space advantageous, but not required.

NB: This is a fully remote role, with some international travel possibly required. The organisation will consider forming a New Zealand office in the future, but this will not happen for a while if it does.
