The purpose of the Business Support team is to provide coordinated, efficient and high quality support to the Board, Executive and various teams.
This team plays an important organisational role in ensuring strong connections and collaboration within the team and across other support functions.Te tūnga | The roleWe are looking for a switched-on, highly capable and self-motivated individual to work in partnership with their Deputy Chief Executive and is keen to be part of a dynamic organisation.As the Executive Assistant to the DCE, you'll be responsible for providing a range of support including diary and correspondence management, meeting and event organisation, administrative support and, from time to time, assistance with budgeting and reporting.
You will also work very closely with the Principal Advisor Governance to provide back-up and support for the Maritime NZ Board.Nōu te rourou | What you bring Previous experience in an Executive Assistant role to a senior executive or manager.
Possess strong written communication skills and experience drafting a range of correspondence.Able to identify risks and use well-developed problem-solving skills and judgement.
A flexible can-do attitude, with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
Superior organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
A passion for using digital tools and technology.
Confident interacting with and supporting Executive Leadership Team and Board members Operate with integrity, confidentiality and discretion at all times.
Ability to thrive in a busy and dynamic environment.
Expertise in MS Office and document management systems.
Works in, and promotes, culturally safe and respectful behaviours, always being mindful of the cultural diversity of the industry and having regard to Te Ao Māori and Treaty of Waitangi principles.
