Japanese cook - sushi supervisor
Check machinery and equipment is operating correctly and that tables and chairs are clean and tidy at all times.
Check portion costs and wage costs are within budget on a daily basis.
There is heavy lifting involved in this position so the ability to easily lift 25kg is a requirement.
You will require excellent knife skills, full understanding of food safety and hygiene, and the ability to be able to work independently in a fast paced environment.
You will also be involved in customer service which at all times must be to the highest level. Previous cash handling skills and the ability to open and close the store.
When the manager is not on site you will act as a 2nd in charge in a supervisory level. There is a training programme available to the right applicant. Therefore you will require strong communication and leadership skills and be 100% reliable.
This position is based in Auckland at our Sylvia Park store although you may be required to cover other sites within Auckland from time to time.
Early start time may be required of 5am Monday to Sunday - on a rotating roster which can include late nights, public holidays and both days in the weekend.
Pay rate - $28.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.
