You’ll have the opportunity to engage in both workshop tasks and fieldwork, offering variety and growth in your role.

• About you:
• Experienced in a mechanical field, such as diesel/automotive mechanic, auto electrical, electrical work (registered), or similar fitting/mechanical/welding knowledge.
• Previous refrigeration and/or hydraulic system (i.e. tail lift) experience are desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a team in the workshop.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours callout roster once fully trained.
• About the role:
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and servicing of electrical and diesel-powered transport refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and repair system faults, including refrigerant leaks, copper and aluminium piping repair, fault finding, and replacement of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components.
• Maintain and repair diesel engines.
• Service and repair hydraulic tail lifts and related systems.
• Perform system inspections and complete paperwork for service checklists.
• Install and commission new truck and trailer refrigeration units, including mounting units, fabricating and fitting component bracketry and pipework, and commissioning tasks.
• What we offer:
• Competitive Pay: Earn between $40 - $50/hr, depending on experience and skill level.

• Full-time position: 45 hours per week with overtime paid after 40 hours.
