About the Role:
Based at our client’s site in Auckland, this is a key role responsible for leading the servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and commissioning of transport refrigeration systems across truck, trailer, and fleet units.

You’ll provide hands-on technical leadership to the installation and service technician team, ensuring all work meets industry and safety standards while supporting the development of junior technicians. This role plays an important part in delivering high-quality service and reliable outcomes for customers and their fleets.

What You Need:
  • Trade qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (NZQA level 4 or equivalent)
  • Current NZ Refrigerant Handling Licence
  • Extensive experience with transport refrigeration systems (Thermo King, Carrier, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines and experience with their repair and service.
  • Ability to work with low voltage (automotive) electrical and control systems.
  • Ability to work with medium voltage (230-400Vac) electrical and control systems and ideally qualified with Electrical Service Technician with EWRB registration.
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic capability.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, or team coordination experience.
  • Full driver’s licence.
