(including KiwiSaver), depending on skills and experience.The opportunityIn this senior advisory role, you will provide expert operational and asset management advice to ensure the effective, compliant, and sustainable performance of wastewater treatment plants across the region.
You will support continuous improvement, guide investment decisions, and act as a subject matter expert for wastewater processes and assets, working closely with Veolia and internal stakeholders.Key responsibilities include:Oversee wastewater treatment plant performance and operational risk managementAdvise on operational processes, incident investigations, shutdown planning, and compliance mattersLead asset management and investment planning, asset condition reviews, and performance improvement initiativesReview, monitor, and support capital project planning, renewals, and operational handover activitiesBuild strong relationships with operators, regulators, councils, and internal delivery teamsAbout youTo be successful in this role, you will bring:A relevant engineering qualification (chemical, process, environmental) or equivalent practical experienceStrong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and asset management principlesExperience providing technical and operational advice within complex infrastructure environmentsProven ability to work with contractors and stakeholders to improve performance and complianceA full New Zealand driver's licenceBenefitsAt Wellington Water, our purpose extends beyond delivering great water services for the region.
