Company Accountant - Fixed-Term 12-Month Contract

Location: Commercial Bay, Auckland CBD - modern office with stunning bay and city views

Our client is a large, globally operating wine organisation looking for a Company Accountant to take ownership of company-level finance activities.

Based in a modern, light-filled office with stunning bay and city views, you'll lead financial reporting, analysis, and transactions for your assigned subsidiaries, supporting senior leadership and helping drive key business decisions.

Within the Group, you'll work closely with business unit management and administration teams. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a global success story in a collaborative, high-performing finance environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Produce monthly management and financial accounting reports
  • Review budgets and provide detailed analysis
  • Deliver insight and commentary to help stakeholders understand underlying financial drivers
  • Manage execution of financial transactions for assigned entities
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and coach the Financial Services team
  • Support performance development and team growth
  • Foster collaboration across the finance function
Compliance & Tax
  • Prepare statutory reports and manage tax compliance
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and reporting standards
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
  • Contribute to enhancing financial processes and standard operating procedures across the finance group
  • Collaborate with business unit management and cross-functional teams to streamline operations
What You'll Bring
  • CA and/or equivalent qualification with 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality outcomes
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Exposure to large enterprise software preferred
  • Experience in international markets advantageous
