Registered Nurse - Christchurch Outpatients

About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at Christchurch Outpatients, located on Christchurch Hospital Campus. This role will work rostered shifts, scheduled across Monday to Friday (8am/9am to 4:30pm/5:30pm), no nights or weekends/public holidays are required.We are seeking a Registered Nurse preferably with wound care, procedural assistance, cannulation and venepuncture experience but please do not hesitate to apply if you are at an early stage in your career.

About the Service
Christchurch Outpatients works across four floors of our purpose-built facility. We provide nursing support and care for up to thirty different Specialities. Every day in Christchurch Outpatients is different with the Nursing team managing wound care, assisting in diagnostic procedures such as flexible cystoscopy, supporting minor surgery and procedures, as well as running nurse led clinics such as Phototherapy.
About You
You will be an energetic and reliable person and work proactively to provide high quality patient care. You should have excellent time management and be able to work well within a team.
Skills and Experience:
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- General Surgery or General Medicine experience desirable
- Wound care, procedural assistance, cannulation and venepuncture experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with a strong patient focus.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
