Project Manager - Hospital & Speciality Services
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (1.0 FTE)

About the Role
This position is responsible for the management of assigned projects and service development initiatives in accordance with a project management methodology to ensure project objectives and business needs are met.
The Project Manager role is responsible for working with managers and clinical teams across Wellington, Kenepuru and Kapiti, leading and supporting service development and new models of care and ways of working across the health system.
This pivotal role will shape the future of hospital and specialist services across our district, with a particular emphasis on activities that will enhance service delivery with a focus on clinical knowledge to better affect outcomes for patients and their care.
Your role will:
- Lead and coordinate multiple projects to deliver strategic outcomes across HSS.
- Be results orientated with an understanding of the complexity of the health environment.
- Drive equity-focused improvements in health outcomes for Maori and underserved communities.
- An excellent organiser and problem solver who is calm and customer focused.
- Have an excellent ability to build working relationships with a variety of different people.
The salary band for this role is $104,179 - $125,014, depending on experience.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Reporting to the Group Director Operations, Capital, Coast Hutt Valley District, this role will provide project support for Hospital and Specialist Services group.
CCHV serves a population of 540,000 people with a team of approx. 10,000 staff and providing services to the community across several sites including Kapiti, Kenepuru, Porirua, Hutt Valley and Wellington, with Wellington Regional Hospital providing tertiary level services to the wider region.The Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Services (MHAIDS) also sit within this group and provides local, regional and some national services.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 3 + years experience in project delivery and or management
- An understanding and experience of project methodologies and a project qualification (preferred but not essential)
- The ability to influence people
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A clinical background
- Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to equity.
- Experience in healthcare or hospital environments (preferred).
- A passion for system improvement, innovation, and achieving ambitious goals.
