Your New Company

You'll be joining a well-established organisation with operations across New Zealand and Australia. Known for its focus on innovation, customer service, and continuous improvement, the company is undergoing an exciting digital transformation.

This is your opportunity to shape quality outcomes on high-impact projects while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Opportunity

You'll support the delivery of technology and process-driven projects — most critically, the modernisation of legacy Oracle Forms applications into Oracle APEX.

This role goes beyond traditional testing: you'll combine strategic oversight with hands-on execution, embedding quality into every phase of the project lifecycle. You'll work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Developers, and business stakeholders to ensure every solution is reliable, accurate, and aligned with compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop test strategies, plans, and cases aligned with project goals and compliance requirements.
  • Validate that requirements are accurately delivered before go-live.
  • Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across Oracle APEX, Salesforce, and other platforms.
  • Perform backend validation using SQL and PL/SQL to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Test Oracle Forms and Oracle APEX functionality, plus data migrations and integrations.
  • Document test results, defect logs, and traceability matrices using Azure DevOps and Confluence.
  • Provide training and demonstrations of solutions to end-users.
  • Contribute to PMO reporting with test progress, risks, and quality metrics.
  • Recommend improvements to QA practices, frameworks, and tools.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years' experience in software testing/QA, ideally with Oracle APEX and Oracle Forms.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills for backend validation and testing.
  • Deep knowledge of QA processes and SDLC, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • Experience across functional testing (smoke, regression, integration, UAT) and non-functional testing (performance, usability, security).
  • ISTQB Foundation Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar QA tools.
  • High attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and ability to manage multiple initiatives.
