Manaakitanga Support (Front of house/Reception)

Kuranui College seeks a highly organised, professional, and welcoming Manaakitanga Support (Front of House/Reception) to serve as the initial point of contact for our school community.

Remuneration - Part-time 30 hours per week, Term time only, Admin - Grade 4, Support Staff in School’s Collective Agreement

This crucial role is responsible for ensuring a warm welcome and prompt assistance to all students, staff, and visitors. You will manage the busy school reception, handle key administrative tasks, and provide essential support to the Manaakitanga team, which focuses on student well-being and care.

This role also covers back up for the relief coordinator which will require 7am start when required

Key Accountabilities:

Front of House & Reception: Be the first point of contact, warmly greeting and assisting visitors, managing incoming calls and queries, and maintaining an inviting office environment.

Manaakitanga Support: Triage and attend to sick students and first-aid emergencies as the first responder, order and replenish office and sick bay supplies, and assist with general administrative duties.

Administration: Provide support to the Personal Assistant and Kamar Administrator, including assistance with police vetting and school reports.
General Support: Assist staff with attendance rolls, resource booking, school printing/laminating, technical support logging, and event management.

Other: Act as back up for the relief co-ordinator.

We are looking for a candidate who has: Proven experience in a front-of-house or reception role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in all Google applications, KAMAR, and Schoolbridge (or the ability to quickly learn new systems).
Ability to work to deadlines and manage a variety of tasks concurrently.
A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
