That's right.. An awesome opportunity to be a Bicycle Service Technician in Lower Hutt!

As our Evo Cycles Bicycle Service Technician, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the workshop and the servicing of customers bicycles. From quoting the customer jobs and ensuring that customers are clear on what work is required, you will see the job through to the end.

Ultimately you will find ways of working that contribute to achieving Evo Cycles customer satisfaction and growth expectations.

Your responsibilities will include servicing bikes from all different types of genres (i.e. ebikes, road bikes, mountain bikes and children's bikes), the sale of workshop parts, looking after workshop stock (both inwards and outwards for your workshop), supporting the store staff with bicycle service related queries, ordering parts for work shop jobs and general customer service all with the goal to lift customer satisfaction at every touchpoint.

As our bicycle service technician you will have a positive, customer-oriented attitude with a win-win outlook for both Evo Cycles and the customer.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Diagnosing mechanical issues with customer bicycles
  • Daily reporting to the Showroom Leader
  • Quoting workshop jobs
  • Order parts for jobs
  • Undertaking the bicycle technician work in a timely and safe manner
  • Assisting customers with queries
  • Regularly up-skilling on our systems, services and products
  • Monitoring stock levels in your service centre
  • Helping prepare the service centre for stock takes
  • Helping to improve and grow the service centre (and cycling!!) in the Wellington region

The role is 40 hours week and will be Monday to Friday (8.30am - 5pm). The pay rate for this role is $29.66 per hour.

We'd like to hear from you if you have some of the following:

  • Experience as a Bicycle Technician (minimum 3 years)
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Willingness to upskill as a bicycle technician and grow with Evo Cycles
  • Good communication skills whether engaging within the team or with customers
