Automotive Technician – Auto Super Shoppes Lower Hutt

We’re looking for a great mechanic to join our local team!

Lower Hutt | Full-time | Monday–Friday

We’re Auto Super Shoppes Lower Hutt, a busy and well-respected workshop known for high standards and honest service. As a proud member of the Auto Super Shoppes network – New Zealand’s most trusted group of premium repairers – we combine local knowledge with national support.

We’re looking for a qualified automotive technician who’s keen to join a team that values workmanship, professionalism, and a good laugh!

• Vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs across a wide range of makes and models
• Diagnostic work using modern tools and equipment
• Working with a team that takes pride in doing the job right the first time

• Qualified mechanic (NZQA Level 4 or equivalent)
• At least 2 years’ workshop experience
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• WOF authority is a bonus (but not a dealbreaker)
• A team player with a good attitude and work ethic
• NZ driver’s licence

• Good pay, based on your experience and qualifications
• A well-equipped, clean, and professional workshop
• Support from a local team that cares – no egos here
• Training and upskilling opportunities through the Auto Super Shoppes network
• Occasionally talking with customers to explain repairs and offer advice
• A steady flow of work – no sitting around waiting for jobs
