Minimum Guaranteed Hours of work: Over 30 hours

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and hardworking Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis at Sushi Gallery Kerikeri.

We are a well-established sushi and Japanese restaurant with over a decade of history in Kerikeri, renowned for our excellent reputation and strong local presence. Through rigorous staff training and strict quality control, we are committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences and an authentic taste of Asian cuisine.

• Cooking food based on menu to a high standard
• Collaborate with other kitchen team members to complete prep tasks
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and compliance with food health and safety laws and practices
• Assist in ordering and handling food deliveries
• Help in planning menus, estimating food costs
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, and promptly report any issues to your supervisor

• Be a New Zealand citizen or hold a valid NZ work visa.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience or a NZQF diploma qualification (or equivalent )

• Willing to undergo and comply with job training.
• Passionate about cooking, with a creative understanding of Asian cuisine.
