About the role
Your culinary skills will thrive working at Oakridge Villas in Kerikeri, Northland. You will be an experienced passionate Chef that enjoys whipping up delicious quality cooking. You take pride in presenting your food well and offering a great dining experience
This role is for 24 hours per week most likely on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10am to 6pm. There will be some flexibility in the days of work for the right candidate. There will also be the option to pick up more work if desired.
Duties Include:- Whipping up delicious offerings in a restaurant environment
- Coordinating the kitchen to ensure it operates effortlessly.
- Maintaining a high standard of food with consistent portion sizes and outstanding presentation.
- Using your leadership skills to help lead our kitchen team alongside our kitchen manager.
- Take responsibility for the overall management of the kitchen in the absence of the kitchen manager.
- Dishwashing when required
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Commercial kitchen and or café experience preferred.
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Food industry qualification
- Excellent food hygiene practices and personal presentation.
- Can do attitude to support where needed in the kitchen
