Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible, and innovative care.About the RoleAs a Whānau Support Worker, you will support Public Health Nurses to deliver child health services to children, young people, and their whānau across homes, schools, and the wider community.
You will undertake tasks across a range of health programmes, including home visits, clinic support, and follow-up care for whānau, working within defined guidelines. You will also provide timely communication and contribute to coordinated care with schools, health professionals, and community providers.The role requires accurate documentation and data entry, a strong focus on safe practice, and a commitment to supporting equitable health outcomes for the communities you serveAbout the ServiceThe National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.
