We are looking for compassionate, patient, and reliable Support Workers to support an 11-year-old young girl with special needs.
This is an opportunity to build a meaningful connection and provide consistent, supportive care that helps her feel safe, understood, and supported every day.
About the Role- This role involves supporting a female young person, including personal care. To ensure her comfort, dignity, and safety, applications from female candidates are preferred.
- Experience working with Pacific families and delivering culturally responsive care is highly valued.
- Location: Mt Smart
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)
- Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
- Pay: $24.08 – $29.97 per hour
- Provide daily care and support aligned with a structured support plan
- Support behavioural management and emotional regulation
- Assist with personal care while maintaining dignity and safety
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Maintain clear communication with tamariki, whanau, and colleagues, while respecting professional boundaries, privacy, and confidentiality
- NZQA Level 3 Health & Wellbeing (or relevant experience)
- Experience with autism, complex needs, or behavioural support
- Calm, resilient, and patient
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Physically able to meet care requirements
