Heavy Diesel Mechanic

**About the Role**
We’re looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to carry out rebuilds on a range of heavy off road machinery including loaders and material handlers and terminal tractors. You’ll work in a fully equipped refurbishment workshop with access to quality tooling and support.
**Location:** Tauriko Tauranga
**Status:** Base $46.22 p/h Full-time Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
**Specific Responsibilities:**- Full stripdown and rebuild of port equipment
- Replacing / repairing machinery components
- Servicing machinery
- Diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy loaders excavators forklifts & trucks
- Repairs to attachments grapples & log heads
- NZQA Level 4 Automotive Heavy Engineering qualification (or NZQA-recognised equivalent)
- Proven experience working on heavy vehicles and machinery.
- Solid understanding of hydraulic systems.
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Bring a positive can-do attitude to the role.
