We are currently on the lookout for a Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated workshop team. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in well-maintained tools and workshop and like being part of a supportive crew this could be the role for you.
About the role:You will be responsible for maintaining our diverse fleet of vehicles including wheel loaders; forklifts; light road vehicles and truck and trailer units.
Please Note: This position includes one half day Saturday per month.
Key Responsibilities:- Servicing all vehicles
- Maintaining trucks and trailers to a COF standard
- Prepare vehicles for WOF
- Maintaining Service Records
- Quickly diagnose faults and apply effective solutions
- Work safely and follow all health and safety protocols
- Support your teammates and work collaboratively
- Understand the urgency of the transport industry and minimise downtime
- A relevant mechanical qualification with proven experience in a similar role
- Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
- A proactive, can-do attitude
