Experienced Contract Milker sought for St Helens Dairy Farm located 17mins west of Oamaru, Waitaki.

Target - 260,000 kgms from 620 Kiwi-cross cows

The farm is 190 hectares with pivot irrigation covering 125 hectares and K-Line irrigation over the remainder.

The property has a 46 ASHB dairy shed with ACR's, auto wash, Protrack drafting and a concrete feed pad for use on the shoulders of the season

Candidates for the role will have the following attributes

A thorough understanding of dairy farming systems
Effective communication and people skills
Excellent pasture management and animal husbandry
An understanding of the compliance requirements for a dairy farm
A focus on workplace health & safety
Effective computer and record keeping skills ( MINDA, Nait etc)

As per standard Contract Milker arrangements, the successful applicants' costs will be shed expenses, electricity, labour, plus employment costs and costs of running the farm bikes owned by the contract milker on farm. The Contract Milker will bring their own motorbikes, fencing equipment, and calf rearing equipment to the role.

There is some flexibility with this arrangement and changes can be made by negotiation.

Remuneration - Per kgms by negotiation

Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and provide up to date CV with references and referee's of prior employment

2 x 3 bedroom houses available on farm plus one house off farm.
