We cover a wide geographical area, providing plenty of opportunities for variety and development in our staff's careers.About the roleWe are seeking a motivated and collaborative endocrinologist to join our Southern district team.The role is expected to be based in Dunedin and will contribute to providing cover across the Southern district.
Our district is the largest in New Zealand and provides care for populations both in urban centres and rural areas.Our service is predominantly outpatient-focused, with busy endocrine clinics, registrar clinics, and oversight of nurse-led diabetes clinics.
While inpatient care is rare, you will provide consultative support for complex endocrine and diabetes cases across the district.You'll also contribute to the on-call roster (8am-4.30pm, weekdays only) and offer clinical advice to colleagues district-wide.Although this is a district-wide role, the successful candidate will primarily work with the Dunedin hospital team.
