Open for lunch and dinner six days a week, Focus Dining offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment centred on quality, passion, and genuine hospitality—an ideal setting for enthusiastic team members eager to contribute to an exceptional dining experience.

• Workdays: six days, a rotating roster Monday - Saturday
• Work hours: 30-60 hours per week
• Hourly rate: $25-$35 per hour depending on skills and experience

Key duties of the role:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the supervision of senior chefs
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
• Follow recipes and instructions to ensure dishes meet required specifications
• Ensure all food preparation complies with health and safety regulations
• Assist in maintaining stock levels and storing ingredients properly
• Keep kitchen areas, equipment, and storage spaces clean and hygienic
• Support with basic food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning
• Work cooperatively as part of the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment

Successful candidate needs:

• At least two years of relevant experience working in a commercial kitchen (Chinese cuisine preferred)
• A willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
• Availability to work evenings and weekends (in line with our operating hours)
• Good physical fitness
