We are growing. Strength Nation is coming to Upper Hutt owned by Te Kaha Ora Collective! We are on a mission to build the strongest, inclusive, most welcoming gym community in all of the land. To do that, we need the right person at the front desk of our new Upper Hutt Site.
Someone who turns first-time visitors into long-term members, who knows every member by name, and who brings the energy that makes people want to come back tomorrow.
You will be the face of the gym. The warm welcome. The trusted point of contact. The person who makes every member feel seen, heard, and proud to belong to Strength Nation.
**WHAT YOU'LL BE KNOWN FOR**- Welcoming every member like a regular from day one.
- Closing memberships and growing our community through tours, follow-ups and good old-fashioned hospitality.
- Owning the day-to-day buzz of front-of-house, bookings, member admin and the rhythm of a busy gym.
- Bringing the Strength Nation brand to life across social media, community events and on-site activations.
- Making the gym a place people are proud to belong to.
- You are a people person. You light up a room with your presence.
- You are a natural closer. You are not afraid to ask for the sign-up.
- You are organised, and admin and systems superstar. You can hold a lot of moving parts and still keep your cool.
- You are curious about wellness, fitness, and what makes a great member experience.

- You are confident with technology. GymMaster, Xero, Slack and social tools. Or are quick to learn and have a growth mindset.
- We are a new business with national ambition. We have one Strength Nation Site in Masterton, are opening Upper Hutt, and have plans for more. Get on board!

**HOW TO APPLY**
Send us three things:- Your CV. The usual. Tell us about your work history and what you have done. Keep it short and showcase your attention to detail!
- A short cover letter. Half a page is plenty. Tell us why this role sounds like you, please don’t give us an AI generated cover letter. While we LOVE using AI as a collaborator, in your application, we really want to understand who you are and get to know you.
- A short video. 60 to 90 seconds is plenty. Walk us through who you are, why this role excites you, and what makes you the kind of person members would want to see when they walk in. Phone, selfie-style, no production needed. We want you, not polish.
Our hiring process has three stages. We move quickly and will keep you in the loop.
**Stage 1** | In person interview- A structured chat with the leadership team. About 60 to 90 minutes in total, nothing scary, just keen to get to know you.
- We will send you a super short written exercise/scenario to complete and send back to us! It’ll be easy, don’t sweat. We want to see what your written comms look like and how you problem solve!
- Casual. No slides, no surprises. A chance for both of us to chat about your written exercise and feel out fit before we shake hands on it.
