Occupational Health Nurse

ANZCO Foods Waitara have an opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse to join the team.

As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will assist ANZCO Foods to help reduce workplace injuries and improve rehabilitation outcomes. This is a permanent position, the hours of work will be between 32-40 hours per week and may require some flexibility as your hours of work may need to enable connection with both day and night processing shifts.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and recording of the physical health and wellbeing of ANZCO Foods Waitara employees.
  • Completing pre-employment screenings.
  • Effective delivery of the ANZCO Foods Drug and Alcohol programme.
  • Effective health screening for work related health risks on a systematic basis. This may include hearing, eye and lung function tests.
  • Injury management as consulted with the Group ACC Advisor.
  • Entering claims and needs assessment lodgements, staff rehabilitation and return to work plans.
  • Assisting with first aid and workplace health emergencies
  • Support the Health & Safety Advisor in development and implementation of health and safety strategies.

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Experienced Registered Nurse with Advanced First Aid qualification
  • At least two years injury and rehabilitation management experience
  • Knowledge of injury prevention
  • Relevant NZQA national standard qualifications for the collection and screening of on-site Drug Testing
  • Audiometry and Lung Function Qualification and maintained 2 yearly refresher
