FreshChoice Otaki is looking for an energetic, reliable, and experienced individual to lead our Produce Department.

As Produce Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the department runs smoothly and efficiently, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and food safety. You’ll work alongside a committed team and help us deliver fresh, high-quality produce and top-notch service to our valued customers.

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Produce Department
• Ensure produce is fresh, well-stocked, attractively presented, and rotated regularly
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as required
• Lead, train, and motivate a small team to achieve department goals
• Deliver outstanding customer service
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
• Manage seasonal demand and adjust planning accordingly
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace

• Has prior experience in Produce or a supermarket leadership role
• Is physically fit – this is a hands-on role that involves lifting crates 15kg+ and being on your feet
• Has strong leadership and communication skills
• Is customer-focused with a friendly, positive attitude
• Thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Has a solid work ethic and is reliable – your team depends on you
• Can stay calm under pressure and keep the team moving
• Is flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of the store
